Breakfast at Chong Choon Cafe in Kuching Sarawak, Malaysia

Grand Margherita Hotel is located within walking distance from the popular Chong Choon Cafe. I got up early on a weekday morning and took a casual walk to the cafe. Surprisingly the cafe was packed with a crowd enjoy local delights. At first, I was not sure what to order.

I started off with cheese toast and deep-fried egg with some tea. This is my usual breakfast. The serving size is compact, suggesting you finish off with a small serving of noodle dishes, steamed buns or soup of your choice.

I was tempted to order noodles in sauce served with seafood, beef slices and deep-fried egg. I quite liked the taste. It is quite interesting to see how the taste and the cooking style of dishes changes across various regions of Malaysia.

Other usual that were available on different stalls within the cafe included Nasi Ayam, Mee Jawa and Nasi Lema. The prices are quite affordable and the food is very refreshing.

Sarawak Kolo Mee Stall seemed quite busy. Even though I was full, I still wanted to try these local delights. After spending some RM 20, I think I have an amazing breakfast and was ready to head how to explore the city on foot.

Some Wonton and Kuah Tiaw Perhaps!!!
