Best things to do in Phuket Thailand | Destinations: Tourism in Phuket Thailand has picked up in the last ten years or so and there is plenty of options for custom safaris & adventures trips that can be undertaken with experienced guides. The best beaches in Phuket include Kata Beach, Karon Beach, Patong Beach. 

Phuket will be the first destination to open up in Thailand post-Covid. The Island is heavily dependant on tourism and 80% of the population is directly or indirectly related to tourism. 

In October 2018 I spent over two weeks in Phuket exploring some of the best islands in Southern Thailand. Tour to Similan Island and Phi Phi Islands are quite popular and can be easily booked online or through one of the vendors on Bangla Road in Patong Beach. Many hotel helpdesks offer these tours. The prices are, however, quite inflated as compared to online deals.
